Personal Statement

For your team I can bring multiple opportunities to the table. I contain sufficient skills that can be utilized. I have a diverse set of playing skills such as playing through the 1-4 position, so I'm willing to do what is needed. I have great leadership and vocal abilities to communicate with my team on and off the court, along with that I am a very coach-able player. I will always do my best to make an adjustment as told. I love to play basketball and I love to be around it. I've been playing basketball since the 6th grade. From the start of my career to now, I began with having the least amount of talent to now being the leading scorer and re-bounder on my team along with making first team all-league. Also I helped to carry my team to state this year for the first time in 11 years.

From my 8th grade year to my 11th grade year in high school my mom was married to my ex step-dad. He had a really bad drinking problem and it only got worse. My freshman year he and my mom would fight almost every night. One day it got really escalated so I decided to step in. from that day on I would refuse to let my mom sleep alone. He would blast music every night and keep us up until about 5 o’clock 24/7. This messed up my schooling a lot causing me to slack with my grades. Now he is gone and I am showing improvement in school big time with my GPA being a 3.7 for my senior year and making Principals Honor Roll my first semester this year.
