I am grateful for the opportunity to have played these past three years for Heritage Christian School. my first two years I started as the point guard even though my natural position is shooting guard, but the coach needed someone that would and could be able to handle the position. This year I am able to play more of the wing position. I believe in sacrificing for the good of the team. I don't have to be in the front of the line, but I am just thankful to be in the line.
After high school, I would love to continue to play for a school that believes in the total athlete. A school that is willing to develop my mind, body and my spirit. During my college playing days, I want to be that person to help the team get over the hump. I also believe that as a student athlete I should give something back to the community. I am blessed to have been raised by my mom and dad and they have taught me well that its not about me, but its about the well being of others.
These past three years my goal has been to be more of a STUDENT athlete and a mentor. That still is my goal going forward. Being in school which range from K-5 to 12, its a great feeling when kids look up to you and having that sense of responsibility to be a good student. I don't want to lead anyone in the wrong direction. Since transferring to a private school, it has taught me the meaning of responsibility and has helped me to mature in multiple aspects of my life.
I do believe that my best basketball is a head of me and I believe that I will be a part of a program that I can make a difference, both on and off the court.
