Wallace Washington '17 Recruiting Profile

I have played the game of basketball for many years through recreation, summer leagues, AAU, middle and high school.  I've always been a leader on teams that I have been apart of.  All of my training and experience has prepared me for the next level in my career which is playing at the collegiate level.   I have an abundant amount of leadership qualities and I strive to lead by example. I'm not just an athlete, I am a well rounded individual.  I am enrolled in honors courses and study hard to ensure I'm successful. I feel that integrity is my strongest attribute. I take pride in the way I treat people and will not compromise that for anything.  I am currently coaching a 5th grade girls AAU team that has taught me a great deal about the dynamics of teamwork and inclusion.  Coaching the girls team has helped me to really study the game more.  I have learned a great deal from the girls and the experience.  I am also a peer mentor and a service learner in a local elementary school.  I have a heart for helping others, specifically any team that I'm apart of.   This year I am very proud that I was instrumental  in my high school team winning a Conference 20 Championship as well as a 4A State Championship.  Both were the first in my schools history and I am truly proud that my contributions helped the team achieve this historic goal.  I will bring an abundance of integrity,  hardwork, leadership, fortitude and grit to my college team.
