I have been playing basketball since I was five years old and on super league teams since the third grade. It has always been a dream to play at the collegiate level and then go on to play in the pros. I have strong ball handling skills, a soft and quick shooting touch with a high field goal percentage, a quick first step, I am a good and long defender and have a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader, I have been team captain every year no matter what team I have played for and I lead by example while also encouraging my teammates with positivity. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the best and hardest working players for any team I am a part of.
I am a Top 20 basketball player in Utah with a great & quick shot, especially three pointers and free throws. I have a great off the dribble step back shot that is hard to defend because it creates me space to get a great shot and I also like to take my opponent off the dribble and shoot or drive to the basket and finish. I am Team Captain, I have been MVP a lot, Won a lot of championships, including a few this year and added to my medals and trophies. I have 5 games so far with 7 three pointers in competitive super league and I usually have at least 3 to 4 three pointers per game. In some recent invitation only basketball camps this year held by Salt Lake Metro and a few other invitation only camps, they put me in the top 20 best players at each showcase and the camps were only for some of the best players in the state of Utah and surounding states.
I eat a very healthy diet, I take nutritional supplements and workout to keep my body strong and game ready. I also practice and shoot almost every day. My uncle Jason Darger played & Jordan Darger playes college basketball. My uncle Joe Darger played college basketball for UNLV all 4 years and was one of the starters and star players a few years back. My Dad played in some pro-am leagues and other leagues with x- college and x-pro players and was the leading scorer averaging 27 points per game, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals per game and was the leading three point scorer also averaging 4 three pointers per game. One of my goals is to average more than my dad did for each of his stats and to play at the collage level that my uncle Joe did. I am from a big basketball family and I love basketball.
Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA as academics are important to me. I also volunteer at local youth basketball camps at my high school.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make myself and my parents proud.
