Cortez Williams '16 Recruiting Profile

~~My name is Cortez Williams. I am the 5’8 starting point guard for Kingwood High School and the Houston Starz AAU team . My greatest strength is that I have a high basketball IQ, attributing to me being a great floor general. I started playing basketball at a community center at 2 ½ years old. I have a passion for the game and willing to succeed on the court as well as in the classroom. I have maintained over a 4.0 since my freshman year taking Honors and AP classes.
Leadership and my commitment are my greatest attributes. I believe in finishing what I start. I am committed to daily workouts before and after school. Most mornings I begin my day at 5 am with shooting, defensive drills, and ball handling.  I am a team player, looking to share the joy of ball playing with a team that not only I can gain my degree from but that I can also be an asset and encouragement to a team. My desire is to study Pre-law and play professional basketball.
