Justin Vance '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Justin Vance. I live in Telephone, Texas and attend Sam Rayburn High School in Ivanhoe, Texas which is a 1A high school. I am 6'2'' and 180 lbs and am on the varsity team. I have played in many positions on the court including, Power Forward, Center, and some Shooting Guard. More recently, I have been the tallest on my team which puts me in the positions of Center. I understand that in college, to be a center you need to be very tall and at my height, I will more than likely be put in a position as a Shooting Guard in college. So I have improved on my ball handling skills, my inside shots, and my 3-pointers everyday after practice. I also maintain my "A" average grades in high school while playing basketball for my school with a GPA of 3.845. I am looking for a college that will allow me to represent them with integrity and character in the classroom and on the court. I plan to get my degree Kinesiology and want to play basketball throughout my college career.  I love the sport of basketball and I am very competetive, determined and am a team player. Everyday I strive to be the best player this sport has ever known. I have shown leadership, and work ethic in my high school team. Choosing me to play for your team and represent your school will be a great choice.
