Larry Payton '15 Recruiting Profile

As a Collegiate athlete, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to help my team win. I’m a good candidate for your team because I’m resilient and a hard worker.  I consider myself to have great work ethics because I always go 100 % and go the extra mile. For me that means practicing hard on improving my own skills and helping my teammates improve, because I honestly believe it takes a team effort to win games consistently.  The gym is my second home, I love the game. I am a team leader who leads by example. I keep a positive attitude; that way I am able to focus on what is important. Growing up, I knew I wasn't going to be a tall guard. I began to study the game and learned how to use my quickness and basketball IQ against taller defenders. Which resulted in me being All District my Sophomore, Junior and Senior year ,  All-Brazos and selected for All Tournament Teams all three years. I am an honor roll student and I take pride in being a student athlete.
