Harry Green '10 Recruiting Profile

It surely does take a village to raise a child and my family has encouraged me to be driven and headstrong. My name is Harry Green, II and I am a student-ahtlete. I am a 3-year varsity player and this will be my third time participating in the TSSAA State Basketball Tournament in Class 3A as a senior, having already a State Runner-Up two years ago and State Championship just last year. So, I love to WIN. I am a combo guard who thinks of defense FIRST. I take pride in defense to get confidence on the offensive side of the ball. I am a exceptional ball-handler, shooter, and penetrator, but I sometimes seem to make a few turnovers because of the speed and level of energy that I play at. As a junior, I was called upon by my coach to take the starting guard spot during tournament time where I gained enough confidence to help my team advance further. I was selected as part of the All Region Team last year and consistently played my role on the team. My dream school has always been Syracuse to play for Coach Jim Boeheim but I am always open for new options. I do not have a certain preference for a school because I am looking for a chance to play basketball and a good education. I desire to go into the biology or law field when I attend college so that plays a role in my decision. I desire to play on a team with a group of guys who treat each other like brothers and love to have fun winning and to play for a coach who takes interest in all of his players to not only become good basketball players but great young men, too. I also love competition and a new challenge. I love to earn things and not be spoon fed. I enjoy meeting new people and being introduced to different cultures. Most importantly, I love my family and I would love for them to get a chance to see me play on the next level.
