Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Tyson Morris and I'm currently in the midst of my senior year playing for the Phoenix Pirates (OR). Last year as a Junior I averaged 15.5 PPG, 8.4 APG, 2.2 SPG and earned All-Conference honors during the regular season. During the following off season, I helped lead my 17U AAU team (Oregon Stars Red) to the Championship game in Las Vegas's Fab 48 as the starting point guard. I began the recruiting process at the beginning of my junior season and I am still currently undecided on where I will be attending next Fall.

I like to think that my game is defined by toughness, discipline, and control as I had slightly above a 4-1 Assist-to-Turnover ratio last season. I have bought into and found a way to fit into very diverse systems whether that has meant adjusting my level of conditioning or fine-tuning an aspect of my game. I have never been handed anything in my life and I don't believe that I would be the athlete or person that I am today without enduring the struggles that my life has presented me with.

My GPA is 3.41 and I scored an overall 1650 on my SAT with 1110 in the core categories.

I appreciate any college or university that considers me a potential athlete in their program. With that being said, I believe that playing at the highest level possible is in my best interest and due to my competitive nature, will greatly influence where I will be attending next Fall.

I will be updating my profile frequently as my senior season gets underway.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
