My freshman year on varsity may not have been the most successful year for my team but through this I learned many things about my game. I learned I could be a leader on the court for my team and could step up when my team needed me in the biggest moments of the game. My sophomore year on varsity we were more successful as a team and made it to the second round of state playoffs. I was still known as the leader of the team and when the team needed a bucket the ball came to me. Over my freshman and sophomore season I took a combined 54 charges and lead the team in charges my sophomore year. I consider myself a versatile player who can play the small forward and stretch power forward position and a player who is able to score at all three levels on the court.
I grew up most of my life without a male influence in my everyday life but I had many trainers and coaches who stepped in and pushed me to be the player I am today. I used this as motivation for me to become a better player and person everyday. I finally turned my focus to basketball in 7th grade when I decided I wanted to pursue my dream of playing at the collegiate level. I have learned that I can be a leader on the court and off the court as well as becoming a very social person and willing to talk to and connect with new teammates and people. I plan to graduate High School in the year 2019 with close to a 4.0 GPA and to graduate College with a degree in Law.
