Personal Statement

07-2014

Hello, I am a rising senior at Hough High School (Class of 2015). I’m looking forward to this season where I will be playing along side teammate Luke Maye (Number 2 Division 1 recruit in NC) We're working hard this summer in preparation to win our second consecutive conference championship in 4A Mecka Conference, one of the toughest conferences in North Carolina.

Here are my stats - 6’7 – Stretch 4 - 15 points per game - 6.5 rebounds per game - 3.9 GPA – NC – 24 ACT - 960 SAT (reading and writing).

In a recent shooting contest amongst my Hough Varsity team mates I made 93/100 free throws and 75/100 3 pointers.

This highlight video is from a tournament my high school team played at in Concord, NC. I played in this during summer league a few weeks ago. My team went 6-2 and we won the championship. When I’m not practicing with my high school team I am playing AAU ball with my club team the Carolina Warriors. We've had a great season. We just returned from USBA Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC. Here is a link for the remaining AAU schedule http://www.cwbball.org/schedules.html

My goal is to play collegiate basketball and obtain a business or equivalent bachelors degree after completing high school. I am seeking recommendations and introductions to college coaches that have programs with a reputation for good basketball as well as academics. Also a coaching staff that wants to see me succeed in both my basketball and academic career.

We would like to see Sweetman develop his ability on the ball more, but he displayed a knack for making shots off the catch.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE.
