I am the consummate student-athlete. I know what is needed to be successful on and off the court. Athletes believe that their play is what keeps them on the court, but a lot are clearly mistaken. A student-athlete has to represent and conduct oneself in a proper manner, set an example for younger and also other aspiring student-athletes, and maintain a GPA and have a body of work that tells a future executive I am the man for this position. The pipe dream that is sold to most athletes is making the pros whether the pros are the NBA or overseas, but the percentage of how many actually make it to the pro ranks are very low. That's why being a student first and an athlete second makes me a good candidate for any college team. I know what it means to work hard on your craft, but then be able to knock out a paper or an assignment a professor needs. When I am lucky enough to step on a school's campus, I want to major in mass communications to fulfill my dreams of making it to the big screen as a sports analyst.
