Basketball has always been my escape and my outlet; its always there all I need is a ball and a basket, its what I love. It brings me to a sense of peace. I am always willing to work hard to get better and will always do anything I can to improve. I know nothing in this sport will come easy but if it was easy everyone would be able to do it. My parents have instilled in me a good work ethic and taught me the value of hard work which in turn has allowed me to get good grades. I currently have a 3.625 accumulative GPA and a 3.8 core GPA with both consistently rising through each semester little by little. I am well known in my high school by my teachers as being a respectful and responsible student who can be relied on when needed. I work throughout my community often and usher in my church every Sunday. I started basketball in the 7th grade and have worked hard overcoming patronization of piers who had said, "I wasn't good enough" because I was inexperienced and now I am the only junior on my varsity basketball team. Even though I am ahead of my piers I understand there is still a vast amount for me to learn. Ever since I first started playing I knew I had a yearning to play at the collegiate level. All those around me know how often I think about playing at the next level and how much I want it. during the summer there's not a day that goes by where you wont catch me in the gym working to get better.
