Gregory King '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Greg King I am 6"5 and weigh 200 lbs. My graduation year is 2014 .Even though my main position is small forward I play different positions because I am a versatile player. Although I live in Ridgefield I attend Saddle River Day School in Saddle River NJ. I have a good relationship with the Basketball Head Coach at Saddle River Day School (Hodge) who has told me that I will be Starting Varsity at the 3 position. Coach Hodge believes that I will have an instant impact on the team. I Transferred from Bergen Catholic HS because Saddle River Day School has a superior Academic program.I am an A student and know that academics go hand in hand with a well rounded college experience.In July of 2012 I went to Puerto Rico to train with the 16U National Puerto Rico Team. After four weeks of practice we went to Chicago to participate in the Baylor University D1 Elite NCAA Event. I started at the 3 and 4 position.  My team went 3 and 2 and placed 6th out of 40 teams. I was the leading scorer for my team averaging 9 points a game.I will be returning to Puerto Rico in June 2013 to be part of the 17U National team. I will consider any school no matter the location or division. I have only been playing competitive basketball for three years and I am working hard to improve daily. My coaches tell me that I have great Basketball IQ. I see the court well which enables me to find the open man and also anticipate the play. I promise I will fully evaluate and honestly consider all opportunities that are presented to me.
