I have been playing basketball since I was eight years old. I played football for three years, but by the time I was 11, I chose to pursue basketball whole-heartedly. My father played for Marist and Montclair State University, and he and I often talk about my aspiration to play at the collegiate level. I am left-handed and have a well-rounded game with strong ball handling skills, an accurate perimeter shot, a strong drive to the basket, and a high basketball IQ. I am a team player and try to lead by example while also supporting my teammates strengths. I am very coachable, well-received by teammates and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.
Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I have a large family including five sisters, and a set of grandparents that live with us. My family life is busy and satisfying. I spend some of my down time with friends, and more times than not we migrate toward pick up basketball or other physical activities. I dedicate extra time for personal training every week in additional to the required team practices.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my parents and siblings proud. My faith is very important to me, and I feel very blessed that I am even able to consider pursuing basketball at the collegiate level.
