My name is Chris Bourne and I am a 6'3",205 lb sophomore from South Brunswick High School in New Jersey. My GPA was a 4.06 with honors weighting. I live with my single mom and two younger twin sisters. Ever since I started playing basketball in the 4th grade, my main goal has been to get better. During these past two years of high school, my dedication has increased exponentially. Whether it's coming into school an hour and a half early to put up 500 shots, running sprints and jumping rope, ball handling in the parking lot, doing calisthenics, weight training or just resting, icing, and eating healthy, my entire life has been based around improvement. I fully understand that greatness is earned, not given. I also understand that being great doesn't necessarily mean making the spectacular, fancy play or scoring a lot of points. Great players do all the intangibles. I judge my games by whether or not I grabbed at least 10 rebounds, took and charge or played great help and on ball defense. Even if I was the top scorer I know that without all these things, I didn't have a great game. My ability thrives on hustle and hard work.
Right now I’m playing AAU basketball with the New Jersey Cyclones, I have been playing AAU for 7 years since I was in 5th grade. We have won two super regionals and finished playing great tournaments at the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh Jam Fest. I am opened to a variety of schools as long as they have good academics, especially those who excel in biology and chemistry. I would like to study oncology and am looking for schools with great pre-med programs. Thank you for your time and consideration,
Chris Bourne
