Joseph Timmes '13 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to play in a competitive basketball program, and have my education funded.  I work hard day in and day out to become a better player and to develop my skills. Additionally I’m working on becoming quicker to the basket.

My junior season I averaged 12+ points and 10+ rebounds.  I am a threat from the outside because of my high percentage shooting from behind the arc but I can also power my way through the lane.  I’m unselfish with the ball and have high basketball IQ. 

I helped lead my team in winning the Morris County Tournament.  We also won our conference.  As for my individual achievements I was selected to the Morris County Tournament’s All-Tournament 1^st Team, selected to the 2^nd team All-County and the 1^st Team All-Conference.  Additionally I finished as one of the Top 20 Rebounding Leaders in the state of New Jersey.  Also, heading into the NJ State Tournament, The Star Ledger ranked me as one of the Top 3 most underrated players in the state.

As for over the summer, I will be attending many showcase camps, including some Hoop Group Elite Camps.  Also I play on a competitive AAU team that  travels to many high level tournaments.  I am playing with Team Jersey Elite which gives me the opportunity to play against nationally ranked AAU teams.   Also I'm doing strength and conditioning multiple times every week. While I needed to play at 4 position for my high school, I have committed to the 3 position so that I will be ready to play and win at college level.
