Personal Statement

My ultimate goal is to help the University I go to, athletically and academically. My job on the court is to ensure a win for my team in any way possible. Whether, I have to dive into the first row of bleachers to get a loose ball or knock down the open jump shot. I will do it. I am also great at seeing the floor, therefor, dishing out dimes is second nature to me and comes easy. Academically I am solid and I believe that I am an asset to any Universities educational aspects. Overall, I believe that I am an asset to any school I go to on and off the court. I will play my heart out on the court and I will work in the classroom. That is my ultimate goal.

I traveled to Turkey to train overseas with my highschool. It was a great experience and I learned alot. We played four exhibition games and went 3-1. The only loss we took was to a college team in Denizli. Training was a great learning experience and helped me improve my game and also better understand a different culture.

I was invited to this camp through an invitation I received at a tournament in Sacramento, where we took second with a team that was just put together. I played both jv and varsity level In the tournament. I ranked 16th overall in the camp and was ranked 6th for point guards in my first experience at a basketball camp. I was also the only freshman to rank in the top 10 for point guards. I made the all hustle team but did not make the all star team despite out ranking most of the kids that made the team. The camp was also a great way to test my abilities against kids from around the country. I got invited to other camps in Pennsylvania and California but unfortunately did not have the funds.
