Leading by example, both on and off the basketball court, is very important to me. In the classroom, I have been awarded with academic awards my freshman, sophomore and junior years with a 4.00, 3.85 and 3.60 grade point averages. I am currently volunteering at a senior citizen assisted living center and intern at a surgical center 2 times a week. I plan on applying my skills obtained through my internship towards a degree in either nursing or pre-medicine.
On the court, I play year-round basketball at Park Hill High School and with the KC Pumas elite/traveling program. I am a leader on the court and, most importantly, a team player. I never take a play off, work very hard with each and every drill, all trying to be the best player I can possibly be. My outside shooting, court vision and high basketball IQ are my biggest assets.
I live a clean lifestyle with no alcohol and no drugs. When not on the court, I work part-time (12-15 hours a week) at a frozen custard business, I am attending speed and agility training (4 times a week) and trying to practice basketball skills in gym somewhere. I keep a healthy mindset by being a positive person and role model.
My collegiate goal is to play basketball at the highest level possible while earning my degree from a respectable institution.
