Personal Statement

My goal is to earn my degree that will allow me to pursue a satisfying and rewarding career (I'm pondering between civil engineering, economics, political science/public administration).   I am a scoring point guard with excellent ball handling, outside shooting and passing skills.   I have played at the varsity level since 9th grade (currently a junior).  I believe I am a very well rounded athlete having lettered in multiple sports in high school.   As an example, I was awarded an honorable mention as an all conference baseball player in 10th grade.  I intend to make all conference in both baseball and basketball before I graduate.   I would have lettered in football as well (I was asked to be the starting quarterback this year), but my parents asked me not to play that sport (they are die hard basketball fans and didn't want me to risk injury).  I am also a very good student (3.8 cumulative gpa - while taking several college courses this year) and I was recently inducted into the National Honor Society.

Finally, I would state that I can be a leader for your team.   I lead by my actions, words and play.  No one will work harder in the gym and/or classroom.  If you need someone who can break a press, run an offense, play feisty defense, score in the  lane and from range, then I'm the point guard for your team.  I look forward to hearing from you!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
