Nate Heise '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been a basketball player for a majority of my life.  I started playing very young and made the jump to playing competively in 3rd grade.  I have continued to play/train year round while also playing football and maintaining a 3.8 GPA.  I set a Lake City Basketball program record for hours spent practicing in the off season with 710 hours in 2015.  My goals for college are to play at a Division 1 or 2 level and also find a college that fits my interests academically and geographically.  Basketball has taught me the value of sacrifice, committment to working on developing my game individually as well as the importance of bringing my skills to team play. 

The highlight of my high school career so far was making it to the state tournament as a freshman.  But now as a sophmore my role has changed drastically.  I have more responsibilities and I feel that I have learned a lot since my freshman year.  These experiences have helped me grow as a player and a person and have given me a better path towards my future in the sport.  I believe that I have the talent and mindset to compete at the college level, and all the things I have acquired from my many games played, practices, and workouts will help me achieve my goal of playing Division 1 or 2 basketball.
