Austin Karbowski '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Austin Karbowski. I am 6'2" and 170 lbs. I am a three sport athlete but want to pursue basketball at the college level after high school. I recieved the All-Catholic award which is equivilant to All Conference this as a Junior and as a Senior. I was the only Junior in my league to recive this honor. I recieved the All-State special mention award for Class D as a Senior.I was Co-Captain my Junior and Senior year and showed my leadership on and off the court by being an example for the other guys to look up to, especially the younger players. I am from the Midwest and would prefer to attend college and play basketball in that region. Also, I am looking for the best educational opportunity to achieve my acedemic goals and will consider anywhere that fills that requirement. Although my major is undecided, I am leaning towards a degree in Math or Science. My athletic goals are to be a contributing basketball player at the highest level my abilities can take me where I can continue to improve my skills and help a team win games. I hope my basketball ability opens opportunities that I would not otherwise have both academicly and financially. I would be an asset to a college basketball team because of my dedication to the sport, commitment to my team, and my strong fundamental skills of ball handling, defense, and three point shooting.
