Kody Chandler '11 Recruiting Profile

I am extremely dedicated to basketball. I work harder than anyone to improve my game. I have never missed a game in my high school career or a tournament in my AAU career. I want to play for a team that sets high goals for the team and individual players and does everything possible to support players to achieve those goals. I have a vision of playing in championship games at the college level. I have been recognized as a sophomore and junior by the AP All State selection committee. My junior year I was a consensus AP All State Class C first team player. Many recruiting analysts such as Steve Bell and Craig Wind have placed me in their top 5 guard list for the state of Michigan. One of the greatest experiences in my high school career was playing for the state championship in 2009. I would love to attend a school in the Midwest or eastern region of the United States but I am open to all options. I am interested in a career related to sports and basketball in particular. One of my dreams would be to play European ball post college and open a basketball center when I return and run AAU teams and tournaments. I think a business degree would be beneficial in achieving that dream. Many would say that the best part of my game is my shooting ability. I average 57% from beyond the arc. I was also recognized by the Basketball Coaching Association of Michigan (BCAM) for being the number 1 free throw shooter in the state of Michigan for 2009. That year I shot 93% from the line. I have been called a pure shooter. I have worked very hard to prove I have a well rounded game. I average 5 assist, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals a game. Above all of those things I am most proud of my leadership on the court. Reading the floor and helping others to do what they do best is a quality I respect in others when I see it and I work hard to do the same.
