Marshall Rusco '11 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Marshall and thanks for checking out my information. Right now, I'm 6' 6" tall, and weigh 200 pounds although I'm still growing, slowly. I'm currently a high school senior and will graduate in 2011. The important things in my life right now are hanging out with friends, my family, and doing things with my church youth group. I also like to do things with the church groups my friends belong to. Although my faith is important to me, I'm not limiting my choices to Christian schools. I'm not sure yet about what college I'd like to attend. College size isn't important, but I want to make sure it has a program I'm interested in. I'll probably major in something technical because I enjoy my math and science classes in high school. I don't think that geographic area will matter as much as the total basketball and academic experience. I'm a two sport athlete, I play goalie for our school soccer team but basketball is my main sport. I've played organized basketball since 6th grade, for my school and during the summers. I've played either AYBT or AAU basketball since the summer of 6th grade. I currently play on our Varsity team, playing either a wing or mainly a post position. My game is based on strong fundamentals. I try to shoot square to the basket, I box out well, I'm an excellent passer with good court vision and I'm proud of my defensive ability. For this year I've developed a reliable mid-range jumper and I can also finish at the rim. I have a strong team work ethic, I never miss practice and I never miss a scheduled day in the weight room. My coaches have told me that I'm very coachable. For my basketball future I'd like to be a member of a team that has strong team chemistry, this is very important to me. I want to join a team where I can make an impact, whether at practice or during games. I want to improve my own skills, and the skills of my teammates. Thanks again for reading about me. Marshall
