David Mahoney '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a foreign exchange student from the Netherlands and I started playing basketball when I was seven years old. Ever since I started playing I have dreamed about playing college basketball in the U.S. I am 6'1"195 lbs and run the 40 yard dash 4.6 seconds. I have won twice the best rebounder title, three times the hustle title, twice the defensive player title and once the allstar title at the biggest summer basketball camp in the Netherlands. I am a team player and I always give 100% on the court. In addition to school I usually spend over 30 hours on a court every week but that number has decreased since I've been in the U.S. (because of differences in school hours, homework and adjusting to the English language). I'd like to play college ball anywhere in the US, hopefully in a bigger school. My desired major is Psychology and hopefully I'll be able to receive a couple scholarships to assist my family in their ability to financially support me. My goals are to become a better basketball player and reach the level as high as my potential allows me, so I can make the people I grew up with proud of the fact that I made it off the block.
