My name is Kevin Hayes Jr. I currently attend Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills, MI. I will be graduating in 2015. While I did not begin to play organized basketball until the 8th grade, I believe I can compete and the highest level and I continue to grow.
My values of life are, in this order, God, Family, School and Basketball. I love the game of basketball, but I recognize that I need the other three to be successful in life and in sports. I devote all of my time outside of God, family and School to becoming a better basketball player. I am determined to be successful on the court, and more importantly, off the court. As one of my favorite coaches said, “I don’t ever lose. I either win or I learn”. While I thoroughly enjoy winning I accept every opportunity to learn because learning never ceases.
As is the case with all young athletes I would love to play Division I basketball. However, I welcome all opportunities that come my way. I won’t provide a least of favorite or preferred schools because my only preference is to join a school where I can grow academically and athletically. I want to compete at a school that challenges me and develops me for the next stage in life.
