2017 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Basketball has been my favorite sport and extreme passion since I first played at the age of 5. I believe I possess the qualities that make a good player and an even better leader. In my opinion, the two qualities that I have to benefit a basketball program most are keen basketball IQ and tremendous work ethic.
While I am extremely proud of my athletic achievements, it all starts with my dedication in the classroom. I am ranked 23 out of my class of 289 students. In addition, I have a 3.7 cumulative gpa. I am a proud member of the W.E.B. Du Bois Honor Society and have received many other academic awards, to include: Principal's Honors, Honor Roll and The President's Award for Academic Excellence (Silver).
I truly believe I will be a great asset to any team and will be committed to bringing my best, both personally and athletically to the program!

- Donovan has elevated his game during this past summer, setting out to become a better on ball defender. Most of our earlier sessions included conditioning and defensive drills where no balls were used. Donovan has learned how to use change of pace, footwork and playing lower to gain an advantage on offense. He has also spent a significant amount of time in the weight room to become a stronger guard.
