I am a very self-disciplined, dedicated, and motivated individual, constantly seeking to better myself in all aspects of life. My parents have instilled in me a strong work ethic, evident in my daily workout routine, which includes 300+ MADE game shots at game speed and an hour of ball handling. My 4-hour round-trip commute to AAU practice three to four times a week demonstrates my commitment and passion for the game of basketball. I also work with the head strength and conditioning coach at Frostburg State University three days a week. When I step on the court, I am known by those around me as the best shooter in the gym. This is what drives me. Not only do I pride myself as being the best shooter and most fundamentally sound player on the court at all times, I strive to focus on the intangibles, or “little things,” such as hustle, mental toughness, basketball IQ, limiting turnovers, and bringing out the best in my teammates. Furthermore, I feel that I help a team because of my ability to play both guard spots and my "in-the-gym" range. I challenge myself by guarding the other teams’ best player when possible. Anyone who knows me knows I am not only a “gym rat,” but also a perfectionist in all that I do. Whether it’s the aforementioned workout routine, eating right, studying film, foam rolling, jumping rope, stretching, or taking care of my body, my family, coaches, and friends can attest to my meticulous attention to detail, discipline, and constant desire to improve myself in every way possible. I truly am a student of the game. My work ethic carries over into the classroom and out to the community as well, exemplified by my 4.52 GPA (ranked number one in my class) and my numerous extracurricular endeavors (which can be viewed here on my profile). I am looking for a college that will challenge me both in the classroom as well as on the court.
