I am proud to be selected to participate in the 2016 Buffalo Wild Wings Roundball Classic All-Star Showcase the weekend of March 25 - 26, 2016 in Hagerstown, Maryland. Equally, I am most proud to have been a nominee for the 2016 McDonalds All-American Game.
I have played basketball since I was three (3) years old. I have an unwavering passion for the sport. I played on recreation leagues when I was younger, middle and high school teams and AAU teams. Fundamentally, I am a confident ball handler, fast and energized on the court, and aggressive on defense and offense. I am an unselfish point guard with amazing court vision and great facilitation. I am the captain of my high school varsity team and starting point guard, since my junior year. I also served in these roles on junior varsity for two years. My coach says about me, "Jeff is a special unselfish player who is our engine; easy going nature and very coachable."
I work really hard to be the best that I can on and off of the basketball court. My commitment is demonstrated in my humility to learn from my coaches and to apply this learning in each game and during my independent practices. I am self-motivated, determined, driven, ambitious, patient, smart and coachable. I love my family, friends and community and all who encourages me to be the best that I can be. I am an AP honor roll student with a 3.5 GPA. I participate in extracurricular activities and have performed community service hours well in excess of my school requirement.
I have the goal of pursuing medicine or medical engineering in college. I want to be the first in my family to pursue a degree in this area of study. My parents and siblings are very supportive of me, as are my extended family.
I would like to apply my athletic and academic talents at the collegiate level. I am respectfully confident that I would be an asset to a college basketball team and it is my personal goal to achieve this end.
