Through playing basketball I have learned that I can do much more than I thought before. Every difficult game or hard practice is just an example of my commitment. Because I started playing basketball much later than others, I had to work twice as hard in the amount of time I had to catch up. This was difficult but not impossible, I try to bring the same attitude into everything I do. I believe I can do anything as long as I put in enough effort.
Along with my work ethic I have also discovered that I can lead. Before basketball I was never the one making decisions or telling other people what to do. Now, I am currently leading the team as captain and I have become very decisive in and outside of basketball. This is something I believe I can continue to do in my collegiate career, as soon as I get the opportunity.
