Bryce Monroe '11 Recruiting Profile

I love to compete whether it's in the classroom, on the court or on the field. I am a 6' 170 lb., "3 sport athlete" who enjoys the challenge of leading his team and teammates into battle. Whether it's quarterbacking the football team, hitting lead-off and taking care of the middle at 2B in baseball, or running point in basketball. I love being part of a team, and I thrive in leadership roles. As evidence of my leadership abilities and potential, I have been named the school's representative to the 1st annual Maryland State Athletic Leadership Council to be held in August 2010. I'm a student of the game, and enjoy the mental aspect of the game as much as the physical. I like to study my opponent, understand what they're doing, figure out what we need to do to be successful against them, and then help orchestrate and execute our plan of attack to put our team in a position to win. I am interested in attending a school that has a good balance of athletics and academics;a school that would like to have a high character, hard working, team oriented point guard with my abilities on its roster. I work hard in the classroom and have attained a 3.75 GPA, taking a fairly rigorous honors and AP curriculum. I'm not certain of my intended major at this time, but know that I want to continue to learn and be challenged academically. I am excited about the prospect of playing a game I love at the college level. I have no real geographic preference when it comes to making a college decision. I've lived in Colorado, California, Texas and Maryland, so I'm pretty open when it comes to location as long as the academic and athletic opportunity is there.
