Jauan Akins '12 Recruiting Profile

I think I'm a pretty nice kid. I respect my coaches as well as my teamates. I have loved the game of basketball since I was a kid. I try my best to get it done in the classroom. I'm a very smart kidd, I just need to apply myself more. I'm 6ft'7inches tall and I weigh 175 pounds. I know that I need to get in the weight room so that is what I've been doing lately to put on a couple pounds. My 7th grade year was the first time I actually played organized basketball with my middle school. I've been playing for my school ever since then. I've never been team captain, but Im a leader to my team when I'm at practice. I would love to play ball in college. It has always been my dream to play college basketball. I would love to play anywhere that I feel I would fit on a team. To play D1 is my goal, but if I'm not good enough I have no problem playing D2 or D3 or even.I will still go 100 percent no matter what. when I get to college I would like to major in Denistry. My athletic goals in college would be to play at the highest level of my ability.
