March, 2012
Hello Coaches,
My name is Desmond Brown; I am currently a Student Athlete in my freshman year at Kaskaskia College. I play point; I stand 6ft even and weigh 185 lbs. Over the past three games, I scored (33) points, grabbed (12) rebounds, and dished-out (15) assist, all coming off the bench. I am very interested in learning more about your school and program and would enjoy a campus visit. I am dedicated to finding the right fit and I feel your school could be good match.
I am writing to ask a few questions regarding your recruitment process: What is the application process for a student athlete? Does my academic and athlete resume qualify me for aid? Do you offer other merit scholarships or need-based aid for which I might qualify? An athlete scholarship play a small factor in my college choice, but I feel it is necessary information for me to consider in determining the best all around fit for me. I truly appreciate your feedback and hope to hear from you soon!
Coach, my contact information is listed below, please visit my NCSA Profile and remember, I am a legitimate point guard and I know I can compete on and off the courts at the next level.
Thank You for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Desmond Brown

High School Profile:
I am a 6ft point guard from Louisville Kentucky. I have started on the Louisville Central High School varsity basketball team for three years. I have earned varsity 08/09 Mr. Defense and was named second team all-region. In 2009 Gaslight Holiday Classic I was named the MVP and made the all-tournament team. Later in 2010 earned 6th region all-tournament team, also making the Best of the east vs. west basketball team following achievements of 2010 MVP award Battle of the Bridges and last but not least varsity 2010 Mr. Offense award. Although, I have started this recruiting process late, I would still like to pursue playing competitive athletics and am open to explore opportunities at all divisions. I am looking for a college where I can obtain a degree in Business and or Sports Medicine. I am interested in all schools from the Midwest to the East of the Mississippi River. Ideally I would like to be in a program where I can make an immediate impact early for the team and for my career.
