Personal Statement
My name is Nicklas Jønsson; I'm a 19-year-old Danish basketball player from Copenhagen. I’m 6’4’’, 195 lbs. guard with a 6’6’’ wingspan.
I have participated in a couple of camps over the years and have received different awards:
Finals MVP - Danish U19 National Championship 2015
MVP award – Hjemly “Yes I Can” Camp - capacity over 100 players
Player of the year - Horsens HIC Camp – capacity over 100 players
All-star award – Hørsholm HBBK Camp – capacity almost 300 players
Summer of 2013 I played in the Göteborg tournament in Sweden (One of the largest youth tournament in Europe, link: http://basketballfestival.se/about-gbf-2/) where my team made it to the final and I received the MVP award.
Summer of 2014 I was blessed with the opportunity to represent my country on the U18 National Team, when we played in the European Championship. It was a great experience and I learned a lot from playing with the best.
The team i played on the last 2 years called Virum Vipers won the National Championship in the U18 league 2013-2014. And in 2014-2015 we won the National Championship in the U19 League, and I was selected Finals MVP.
At that time I also played for the Virum Vipers Men's 1. Division team, where we also 2 years in a row have made it to the playoff semifinals.
For the 2015-16 Season I have made the move to play for a new club, called SISU Basketball, with more practices and higher intensity.
