Brett Walter '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Brett Walther. I am a 6'4 Senior honor student at Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield Indiana. I have played at the Varsity level Basketball program for 3 years and am looking forward to one more year of Varsity play. As a sophomore I started every Varsity game and was named to the All-Area 2nd team and All-Conference 2nd team. Was awarded Most Improved Varsity Player. I was 2nd on my team in assists, in rebounding and in scoring. I had the highest shooting percentage on my team as well.  As a Junior, I led the team in assists, blocks, and was second in steals, as well as rebounds.  Again i was put on the All-Area 2nd team.   My coaches often looked to me as the leader on the floor. I strive to improve my game daily on and off the court, I am very passionate about the game of basketball. I love playing for my High School as well as my AAU team, The Indiana Dawgz. One of my goals is to be able to play college basketball and earn a degree in education or engineering. Along with many hours of Basketball I maintain a 3.98 GPA with honors classes. I volunteer my time with my church youth group and also help lead music for our Sunday School program. I have not missed a day of school since the 4th grade. I am a very hard worker and would love the opportunity to play college basketball while earning my college degree. Thank you, Brett Walther
