I am a 6'0" Senior point guard from Plymouth IN, class of 2017. I have been a Varsity starter since my Freshman year at Plymouth High School, a Class 4A Conference Indiana school. I just finished my Junior year being named to the All State Team Honorable Mention, and was selected as one of Indiana's Top 100 Underclassmen by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Committee for the third year in a row, and voted All Conference 1st team. As a Freshman, Sophomore and Junior I have lead our Varsity team in assists, steals, and minutes played and scoring during the 2013-14, 2014-2015 and 2015-16 seasons. I was also just named team MVP by my teammates and coaching staff after my Sophomore and Junior years. I have also played at a highly competitive level in AAU, having played for the Indiana Thunderbirds and Indiana GAME leading the team in assists, steals, and scoring for the past 3 summers. This summer (2016) I will play for INDIANA ELITE, an AAU program based in INDIANAPOLIS and will compete in AAU tourneys across the Midwest
I currently have a 4.22 GPA, rank 10th in my class of nearly 300 students, and have made the Academic Excellence Honor Roll every semester. I am currently enrolled in the most rigorous curriculum that my high school offers, taking all available AP, Honors and Dual Credit courses. I am a member of the Varsity Tennis team as well, having been voted 1st Team All Conference. My goals are to attend a college or university that will challenge me both academically and athletically by playing basketball.
My determination to excel and succeed athletically as well as academically, my court vision, and poise under pressure are just some of the intangibles I feel I will bring to your team. Most importantly, as a point guard I understand it is my job to make everyone on the floor play better, as though I were an extension of the coach. Possessing these strengths, along with a tremendous desire to contribute, make me an ideal candidate to play for your basketball program. I thank you for your time and interest. I hope that we may be able to create a relationship that will be beneficial to both of us. Thank you.
