Cam Berning '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cam Berning and I’m a senior at Faith Christian School and I’m  from Lafayette, Indiana.  I’m 6’ and 170 lbs and still growing.  I’m a point guard mainly, but I fill in as a shooting guard and like playing either position.  I have played and started varsity basketball since my freshman year.  I’m eager to get better and continue to learn and take advice from my Coaches.  My team is having a great start to the season, just winning a holiday tournament.  I was awarded to the all-tournament team out of 8 teams that competed.  I come from a small private school which recently joined the IHSAA and so not a lot of people have heard about me. I was blessed enough to make Third All Team, which includes 9 counties in my state last year.  I also won All First Team at the Kitchen Classic in our school tournament which consisted of 8 teams, and won MVP at the Indiana Elite North/South All Star games.  I work on getting better everyday both on and off the court. My strengths are: leadership, quick first step, quick shot, 3 pointers and very good defender.  My dream is to get a good college education and to play college basketball. I want to be a successful student/athlete and continue to do what I love to do.  If you would give me a chance, I will do everything I can to be the best student/player possible.
