Lamont Hawthorne '14 Recruiting Profile

 I am Lamont Hawthorne and I want to have the opportunity to play college basketball. I am 6'5 and weight 187 pounds. I went to Decatur Central High School, and my team voted me as the second most valuable player.  I am an extremely hard worker and have a strong drive to win. It has always been my dream to play college basketball.  My first year of college, I went to Sauk Valley and helped my team win regionals. I am currently attending school at Ivy Tech Community College. I took this year off from playing competitive basketball in order to focus on my academics, though I have been consistently training and getting in the gym as much as possible. In addition to basketball, another passion of mine is kids, and I want to pursue a career in pediatrics.
