Personal Statement

My name is Eric Miller, I am a senior (2013) in high school, I am 6 foot 7 and weigh 185 lbs. In my freshman year, I played both Varsity Football and Basketball. Upon completion of my sophomore year of Varsity Basketball, my most important accomplishments in high school athletics is starting Varsity Football as a Wide Receiver and playing approximately 3/4 of the minutes on our Varsity Basketball team. At the end of my freshman basketball season, I had started three-fourths of all our games, was a vital component in our Sectional Championship and played well in our Regional appearance. I was recognized as a leader on my team, even though I was "only a freshman." My sophomore year, our team again won Sectional, in which I was a major contributor. I started 95% of all games this year, including post-season play. I was fortunate to be a part of the regional team, where we finished 2nd, making school history! I feel that I have a lot to offer your team. It has been my life-long dream to play basketball at the collegiate level. I work hard, always giving more then what is expected of me. As a freshman on my team, I began to take on a leadership role, giving directions both on and off the court to my team-mates as well as bringing an enthusiastic energy to my team. As a sophomore, returning starter, my leadership was even more expected.  My high school team lost 3 starters which contributed 60% of our offense...it will be even more important for me to step up this year and be a valuable leader!   I have really not decided what college I would like to attend. I am open to talking to any school that offer Sports Management/Sports Administration major. My dream has always been to play college basketball. I am looking for a school where I could grow as a student as well as an athlete. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to talk with you.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
