Justin Bottorff '17 Recruiting Profile

I and am working hard to reach my goal is to compete in a college basketball program at the highest level where I can be part of a winning tradition and achieve my academic goals. I am a 3 year varsity letterman at Quincy Notre Dame HS. I pride myself in being a smart player who has the skills to play multiple positions.  I played four different positions at some point during the year.  I was selected as All-State(HM),  First Team All Area, and candidate for Player of the Year honors for my junior season.. 

I am continuing to grow, and so I have been less focused on what position, but just improving all aspects of my game.  In the end, I believe I will have developed a unique skills set, size, and basketball IQ that will separate me from many other players. While currently 6'7", I have been measured to have a 6'11" wingspan, which helps me to play multiple positions.  I have several family members, who have played college sports, and so they help me to continue to understand the commitment on and off the court it takes to be successful at the next level. 

More importantly, I take pride in being an excellent student.  I have been on the honor roll each semester at Quincy Notre Dame, where we are known for our academic reputation. I currently have a 3.3 GPA (QND uses an elevated scale). On the traditional scale it is a 3.8.  I am working as hard academically to qualify for academic scholarships, as I am athletically for a basketball scholarship.  In addition to school and basketball, I am active in volunteer work through our school. 

I know that the privilege of playing college basketball can provide me even greater skills for my future career and further enhances my long term success in the world.
