Hello,
I am a 6' guard from Port Wentworth, GA who attends Savannah High School of Liberal Studies as a Senior this year. I was the starting guard for Savannah High for 2 years in JV and 2 years on Varsity. I earned the Coach's Award and Academic Award for my Freshman, Sophomore and Junior year. As a team, we are the Region Champions and also State Runner-up in Georgia for 2012. I have a 3.7 GPA and scored 1350 on the SAT.
I would like to pursue a college with an outstanding academic reputation as well as make an impact on a team. I am open to different types of schools and am looking for my best fit. I am very coachable and think well under pressure. It is my dream to play sports at the next level and I look forward to bringing something to the table.
I was selected to the All Tournament team in which we won the region for the second year in a row. I was selected for honorable mention for the All-Region 3-AAAAA team and made Third Team honors for the Greater Savannah Region team. I averaged 16 points and 4 assists, along with 3 steals per game. I was named to two All Tourmanent Teams on my AAU basketball team, and have averaged 18 points and 5 assists per game. I have been the MVP for my AAU team two years in a row; not only do I play basketball, I also play football. I have been a 4yr varsity quaterback and earned six (7) Player of the Week awards. I was also my football teams MVP and made three All Region Teams as a quaterback and defensive back my Junior year. I am excited about my Senior year. I earned the honor of being a Junior Marshall, which is being in the top 10% of my class. I am also a Georgia Merit Winner, the top 5% in my class, in the state. I have received several letters from colleges honoring this award that I have won. Finally, I have received the U.S. Army Reserve Academic Achievement Award, alone with being picked as a player to watch by Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper basketball preview. We just won the sweet 16 in Orangeburge,SC and I made the all tourament team. We are ranked 1 in Class AAA. On Feb 15, 2013 I was named the winner of the Ron Love Memorial Scholarship, the scholarship is given annually to a male basketball player in Savannah,Ga who combines athletic excellence with high academic standards, leadership and citizenship. I was name to the All-Region team first team and we won our third straight region title in one of the toughest region in the state of Georgia, and State runner-up for the second time in two years. I have also been selected to play in the North/South Georgia All-Star game.
