Personal Statement

As a student athlete, my primary focus is excelling in the classroom and preparing myself for the world that is at my hands.  I am very interested in the field of business, and how it is conducted. I would love to fulfill my lifelong dream and become a professional basketball player, but I would also like to graduate with honors and accomplish my goals of creating a sufficient business that will hopefully benefit people around the world.

I am interested in attending a school that has superb academics, and that is also willing to prepare me for the competitive labor world. Another asset that I would want the school to have is a strong bond between the coaches, students, and staff. I am also a very competitive person, so I would want to go to a school that is competitive academically and athletically, overall allowing me to better prepare my teammates and myself.

I am a very determined and selfless player. I always put my team’s success as the highest value. My I.Q. on and off the court is excellent and has been complemented by many coaches and recruiters. My skillset and length allows me to play multiple positions and guard numerous players.

I am a quick learner of concepts and strategies. I am also a continuous motivator towards the correct thing on and off the court. I can bring a lot of great things to your program.

“Controlled game, efficient scorer, plays at his speed. Poise, Strong frame, uses length to block shots/rebound. Scores in transition and off mid-range pull up. Intriguing prospect with skill set & size as wing. A Top 2017 in Camp.”--- www.bigshots.net

The ratings are based on where you should be skill wise for your age group. See rating breakdown below for more information. 1-Needs a lot of work. 2-Below average 3-Average 4-Better than most 5-Top-notch skill level Defensive Rating: 5 Defensively, you were one of the best in the camp. You did a great job doing all the little things right on the defensive side of the ball. Keep up the great work and don’t settle for this rating. Offensive Rating: 4 Work on your shot form, moving without the ball, and learning to read the defense better. By doing so, you will see great strides in your offense game. IQ Rating: 4 This better than average rating is a good thing for your age. Just take a little longer when deciding what to do with the ball and I think you will be ok. Remember out smart your opponent. Hustle: 5 You do a great job of getting up and down the court. This kind of effort is the ones that college coaches look for. Shooting: 3 Biggest thing you can do to fix this rating, is get up a lot of shots using correct form. Form shooting 3--4 times a week will be good for you. If you are rated 3 or below or any category, please make sure you focus your training on these areas. By doing this, you are going to give yourself the best chance to succeed and have the best chance at advancing to the next level. If you are rated a 4 or 5 in an area, don’t slack off on your training. There is always a way to get better in each aspect of your game. Matt Henson The Hoops Column

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
