Trent Short '17 Recruiting Profile

As a little boy I always had a dream of playing college basketball. With my dad being a high school basketball coach I have been able to grow up around basketball and garner a solid background. He has guided me through the right path to be a successful basketball player by stressing fundamentals, team-focused play, and thinking the game.  I work hard on and off the court to become the best basketball player I can be. I have a 4.0+ weighted GPA, Top 25 in my class, and still continue to work hard to try and improve in the classroom. Both of my parents are educators and they have instilled a value of education within me. I simply want to be able to play basketball at the college level, no matter what size school. I believe I can help any program that I get the chance to play at because of my extreme work ethic, my basketball abilities, my knowledge of the game, my character on and off the court, and my will to do whatever it takes to win.
