My goals in college are to become a better person and a better player. I am a quick learner, I started playing freshman year but at that time soccer was my first sport because where I'm from that's what most of us played. When I moved down here in March 2010, end of 8th grade year, I didn't really know much about basketball.
As I was at a park, a coach saw my height and asked me to play with his AAU team. That is when I started to play basketball. As I kept practicing and playing the game of basketball, I fell in love with and became dedicated to get better and to make it somewhere some day. I played AAU D2 freshman and sophomore year, and finally in my junior, after all my progresses, I tried out for my high school team. By then, I knew the basics and was a great defender and rebounder. I got to be a starter and was selected MVP of my school and top 10 player in my county. All that in my first year of high school basketball. I'm a humble player, and I'm always looking to get better, I'm never really satisfied by how I play, I always feel like I could have done better. I listen to my coaches and the staff, I don't have a bad attitude. I always take care of my grades. I love basketball but grades come first because without good grades, I can't do what I love. Therefore I work to maintain all As and Bs.
