I am currently a senior at Archbishop McCarthy High School. With our memorable basketball season behind me, I am working hard in my senior year to improve my overall GPA, my conditioning and basketball skills to prepare for college. My goal is to further my education at a best in class university that can present me with the opportunity to fulfill my dreams of playing basketball at the college level.
Entering high school as a multi-sport, club level athlete, I participated year around in basketball, football and baseball, until my love for basketball took over following my sophomore year at AMHS. It was then I decided to dedicate myself to basketball, and have since worked on my game every day to be the best I can be, and set my sights on playing at the college level.
I consider myself an intense, highly efficient, well rounded player. Playing in Florida’s Class 5A –District 16 we play against the top competition in Florida (District 16 had the top 3 ranked 5A teams in the state, *see 2/5/14 Miami Herald press in my profile's Athletics tab). We closed the regular season with a record of 20-6. Maxpreps ranked our team #7 in the state class 5A, and we ranked #7 in Miami Herald's South Florida rank. My Coach at AMHS named me team captain citing my solid character and strong leadership qualities on and off the court, and awarded me the Team's MVP Award at year end. As a shooting guard, I am a threat in all facets of the offensive game. I am excellent at getting out in transition to start or finish on the break. From a set offense I am a dual threat. I can shoot the deep ball, or I can slash and drive to get to the basket. Once in the paint, I make good decisions with the ball to create shots for others or score. I have been a two year starter at AMHS. In 2013-14 I have led our well balanced team in scoring, 3pt%, FG%, FT % and just off the lead in assists and rebounds (6 rpg). On the defensive end, I play with pride and a purpose and have great instincts off the ball. When you watch extensive game video (not just the highlights) against top ranked competition, you will see that I am an intense competitor and a smart player that plays within the flow of the game.
If you think I am a good match for your university and basketball team, I would appreciate you contacting me to discuss the opportunity further. I am very excited about being a student-athlete at the college level and I commit to working hard in the classroom and on the court, and being a positive representative for the university.
