Jordan Coblin '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Jordan Coblin. I just graduated from Grandview Preparatory School & will be attending Elev8 Sports Institute for a Post Grad year. I'm 6'2, weigh 180 lbs, and have a 3.5 GPA enrolling in some honors classes and making sure I'm the complete student athlete any school is looking for. My goal for college is to play as a point guard at the highest level possible at a school that values team play, works hard, and has great comradery.  I am open as far as location or school size but want a school that will provide a solid education and an opportunity for me to develop my game and excel on the court. What I will bring to the team is outstanding effort, excellent knowledge of the game, good defense, a high shooting percentage, composure under pressure, a burning, contagious desire to win, and anything to help the team win. I am a leader on the court and always find a positive way to communicate well with my teammates and also be a great floor general. I've loved and played basketball ever since I was little. I've always had a passion for the game to win and to become the best player I can be.

I have been very blessed with the people to help and guide me along my journey. I would not have the basketball IQ I have today without the wisdom of my current and previous coaches and their passion to teach the game of basketball the right way. They have inspired me to want to play the game as a team sport and not just as an individual. I find greater satisfaction by making an extra pass for an easy shot than to force a tough shot and make it look pretty. They have taught me to become not just a great offensive player but a great defensive player too, being good on both sides of the floor. Lastly, I learned very early to always play hard and give 100%, whether in a game, at practice, or in the classroom.
