Well I am what most basketball analysts call a "Late Bloomer" and "Fell Thru The Cracks". By my senior year I sprouted to 6'6" playing shooting guard. But unfortunately my coach did not play me much. I think because there were guys there who had been a part of the program since middle school and I just transferred my Junior year to that school. I am currently a true Freshman at St. John's University looking to transfer to a college where I can play basketball. After taking a year off after my senior year graduation at Tampa Prep to attend IMG ACADEMY Post Grad Program. I thought that I would be able to walk on the basketball team here at St. John's University but it didn't happen. The coach turned me down and felt they were set with the players they had already.
What you will be getting is a 6' 6" 200lbs shooting guard/ small forward that can shoot the ball, attack the basket, and handle the ball when needed. I can dunk and I love playing defense. I have had a knack for picking the ball against opposing players. I have a very strong work ethic on the court, in training, and in the classroom, a great athletic and academic background, and most of all passion. After graduation I took a year off and attended IMG post grad and SPIRE post grad but was disappointed in both of those programs so I left early. I have trained with top pro basketball players and even NFL players and they have sharpened my skills to an elite level. I am the epitome of the few that fall thru the cracks. All I need is a shot to show what I can do. My aspiration is common, it is the same goal that most athletes dream of which is to make it to the next level and play college sports. But to dream is one thing that everyone can do, it's an easy task that takes no effort and no work, I on the other hand, put every ounce of energy I have into making it become a reality. I am in the gym putting work in. I am always in the weight room getting bigger and stronger, and doing extensive high performance training because I know that these things that some athletes look over will make the difference on the court. When practice is over I stay after, working on my individual skills such as ball handling, shooting, and footwork. I don't just dream and hope that something comes to me. I am aggressive in my passion of sport. I am committed and working hard everyday no matter what the circumstances are. The foundation of my work ethic didn't just come out of thin air. Having a father that played 12 years in the NFL has given me a blueprint to follow for success in sports & an inside look on what it takes to be the best and how to get there. Not many young men have that luxury of getting inside info and advice from a former professional athlete.
From an academic standpoint, having a family that is alumni of Harvard university, Stanford, Cal Berkeley, and MIT which has inspired me to aim high. I know that education is paramount and going to one of the best college preparatory high schools in the nation and now academically accepted into St. John's University has helped me prepare for the academic excellence. What I am looking for is a basketball and college HOME. A home that is a good fit for my athletic goals and academic goals whether that's Div 1, 2 or 3. Thank you
