Hunter Gerber '17 Recruiting Profile

I played on my first basketball team when I was 5 years old and have never looked back. I love the game and hope to play at the highest level that I am able too. I want to compete on the collegiate level and take the things I have worked so hard on to your court. I have spent the last couple of years getting faster, stronger, and jumping higher. I have concentrated on improving shot consistency, creative scoring, good ball handling, and being a huge defensive threat. My dad has been a long time player and coach and has taught me to put into the game and life what I hope to get out of it. That has created a hard work ethic in me for practices and games. I always aspire to be a great teammate while being a strong leader by example. I want to make a difference on the next level while preparing for what God holds for my life. This work ethic has also carried over into my academic life. I work hard in the classroom and on my work at home while challenging myself with the hardest courses I can take. I have maintained above a 4.0 and realize academic success is extremely important.  I am grateful for all the talents that I have been given and hope to make a difference in your program. I have a strong faith in God and believe He has a purpose for my life. I strive to live my faith out on the court through attitude, character, and hard work.
