My name is Isaiah Lopez, I am the oldest of seven children and a graduate of the class of 2013. I have strong values in family, getting my education and dedicating myself to be a better person in everything I do. Throughout my high school career I have been not only involved with basketball, but with playing football as a quarterback, student council , volunteering within my community/church, a leader of my family, and most importantly a productive part of my community.
Currently I am a redshirt Sophomore Glendale Community College (AZ). I redshirted at Hawaii Pacific University my freshmen year of high school. So after this year I still have 2 years of eligibility left, which I hope to be very successful both on the court and in the classroom.
My academic career in high school was very important to me, with a GPA of 3.7 in AP & Honors classes. I continued that work ethic in the classroom in college and have a 3.5 GPA, with semester away from getting my associates degree. My plan is to be a student athlete studying to achieve a degree in Sports/Business Management.
I am a pass first, high basketball IQ, and a great leader at the Point Guard position. I work hard in everything I do and push myself to be the best I can be. I am a selfless teammate and extremely coachable. I just love playing this game of basketball and feel extremely blessed to be given this opportunity to continue playing college basketball after Glendale Community College (AZ).
Thank you,
Isaiah Lopez
