Victor Riccardi '17 Recruiting Profile

Growing up in a close-knit, Italian family, personal connections are everything to me. When you’re surrounded by trust and encouragement, anything is possible.

That same support plays out on the field, where my teammates are my extended family. In high school, I started my varsity career as a starting, freshman soccer goalie. I returned to football in my junior year, and now football is my passion.

At 6’3” and 215 pounds, I am extremely coachable and devoted to my craft as I always seek to improve my skills. Football is not just a fall sport it is year-round whereby that means continual research on the art of kicking as well as my conditioning. 

Starting later than some of my teammates has only pushed me to work harder, and earned the respect of both my teammates and coaches. From this experience, I now strive to play at the collegiate level where I will draw on my adaptability, work ethic and dedication, and apply those skills to my academics, technical and athletic abilities.  Although football is over I am still utilizing our Winning Edge conditioning program for my physical prowess and work with my varsity basketball teammates for continuous improvement.

I am looking for a college where both professors and coaches are equally vested in my aspirations for the field, the classroom, and my career. I have been voted the 2 time Warner Smith special teams’ award winner by my peers.

I want to support future athletes, so I volunteer my time to elementary, middle school and junior club athletes in their pursuit of sport. Additionally, I work with learning disabled children in the local middle school.
